Does anyone have experience of punctal plugs? Are they any good? And who fitted them?

See this is a post from ages ago ... I am about to have temporary plugs any advice or thoughts ...more importantly do they help ?

temporary ones def do help
they partially block the flow of tears out of your eyes, depends upon the size of your tear drains
very occaisionally the drains are extremely large and the plugs flush straight through, that takes a few days, so you will have relief for a few days
if that is the case you will need more permanent plugs, mushroom type
