Do any opticians in the UK prescribe Azyter?
Hi, Does anyone know if any optician in the UK will prescribe Azyter for MGD and blepharitis? My GP said that she is not allowed and my consultant at the hospital just shrugged off the whole idea of using antibiotics for this purpose. They just want me to take Doxy which has so many side-effects that I'm too scared to try it. Thanks for any help. Willing to travel to any part of the country if an optician would give me Azyter to try.

I use both oral and topical azithromycin for our mgd/blepharitis patients when appropriate. I am based in Hampshire, near Winchester. More info on location and some informative youtube videos can be seen at our website, www.matheson-optometrists.com.
